Bangladesh’s veteran cricketer Tamim Iqbal returned home from Singapore after receiving advanced treatment and headed straight to the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur.

Tamim, who suffered two heart attacks on March 24 while preparing for a Dhaka Premier League match for Mohammedan SC, was later diagnosed with a 100% blockage in one artery. A stent was immediately placed to restore blood flow. Following his initial treatment in Dhaka, doctors advised further check-ups, leading to his trip to Singapore on April 7.

Though Mohammedan were playing their arch-rivals Abahani at the stadium during his visit, Tamim didn’t come to watch the game. Instead, he went to consult with the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) medical team.

Earlier, Tamim’s uncle and former national captain Akram Khan told the media that his condition had stabilized after medical examinations in Singapore. “By the grace of Allah and everyone’s prayers, Tamim is doing fine,” he said.

Tamim’s presence in Mirpur and his interaction with BCB officials today signals a positive step in his recovery, providing reassurance to fans and well-wishers.
