BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has extended his support to the cancer-stricken mother of footballer Ritu Porna Chakma, popularly known as the Golden Girl for her outstanding performance in Bangladesh’s historic 2-1 win over Myanmar.
Her performance helped secure the country’s first-ever qualification for the AFC Women’s Asian Cup.
BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, also with members of Amra BNP Poribar, visited Ritu Porna’s house located in Mogachhari village under Kawkhali Upazila of Rangamati on Wednesday and handed over financial aid to her family members for accelerating the treatment.
