Acting chairman of the BNP and Chief Patron of the “Amra BNP Poribar” Tarique Rahman has promised to take full responsibility for the education of Mohammad Abdullah, the son of Masuma Begum, a 38-year-old office assistant at Milestone School and College who tragically lost her life in a training aircraft crash that occurred on the school premises in the capital’s Uttara.
At around 11:30am on Thursday, a delegation from “Amra BNP Poribar” visited the family residence of the deceased in the Shukrabhanga area of the capital’s Diabari.
Senior Joint Secretary General of BNP and Chief Adviser to the initiative, Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, met with the bereaved family and expressed condolences on behalf of the party.
During the visit, he also handed over a one-time financial assistance package to Masuma’s husband, Mohammad Selim.
Atiqur Rahman Rummon, convener of “Amra BNP Poribar,” conveyed the heartfelt message from Tarique Rahman that he would personally take responsibility for the education of Masuma’s son, Mohammad Abdullah.
Abdullah is currently a sixth-grade student at Diabari School in Uttara.
The visit and humanitarian support initiative was attended by several key figures from BNP and its affiliated organisations.
Among them were Engineer Ashraf Uddin Bakul and Abul Kashem, both advisers to the initiative.
Also present were SM Jahangir, joint convener of BNP Dhaka North; Jamil Hossain, former central vice president of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD); Hasnain Nahiyan Sajib, joint general secretary of the current Chhatra Dal Central Committee and other leaders of the party.
