BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has expressed heartfelt gratitude to party leaders, activists, well-wishers, and security personnel for warmly receiving Chairperson Khaleda Zia upon her return from the UK.
In a press release issued Wednesday, BNP’s Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman extended his sincere thanks to the general public and BNP supporters who lined the streets to welcome Begum Khaleda Zia as she returned to Dhaka after four months of medical treatment in the United Kingdom.
On Tuesday morning, thousands gathered on both sides of the roads from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport to her Gulshan residence to greet the former prime minister.
Tarique Rahman acknowledged not only the overwhelming support from party members and the public but also expressed deep appreciation to the members of the army, navy, air force, police, RAB, and aviation security for maintaining order and ensuring safety throughout the high-profile return.
