Students of the Titumir College in Dhaka have again blocked the Mohakhali-Gulshan road in front of the college to press home their demand to turn their institute into a university.

They blocked the road at around 12:20pm on Monday.  Meanwhile, a number of students continue their hunger strike for the sixth day.  As part of the shutdown programme announced Sunday night, all classes, examinations, and administrative work in the college will be paused, the students said.

The shutdown came into effect on Monday morning. Meanwhile, the students also announced blocking the Amtali, Mohakhali, and Gulshan Link roads from 11am to 10pm (11 hours).

Liberty News’ campus correspondent reports that this programme was announced at around 11pm on Sunday at a press conference arranged by a students’ organisation named Titumit Oikya.
