A Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate on Thursday imposed a travel ban on actor Meher Afroz Shaon, former DB chief Harun-or-Rashid and 10 others in a case filed by her step-mother.
The order was issued by Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Sanaullah following a petition.
Of the accused, Saiful Islam Bhuiyan and Shah Alam are on bail, the least 10 are absconding. An warren was issued against them on April 22.
The court deemed the travel ban necessary to ensure a fair and uninterrupted investigation.
