A head-on collision between a truck and a CNG-run autorickshaw killed three people in Fulpur Upazila of Mymensingh on Monday. Three people were also injured.
The incident occurred at the Chanpur Bridge area at around 9 am. The deceased were identified as Md Hasad, 16, Md Ashik Miah, 20, and Abul Kashem, 50.
Confirming the matter, Fulpur Police Station Officer in Charge Md Abdul Hadi said a CNG-run autorickshaw with passengers was going from Vaitkandi to Fulpur bus stand. A speedy truck hit it head-on at the Chanpur Bridge area, killing three passengers of the autorickshaw on the spot and injuring three others.
Liberty News’ district correspondent reports that locals rescued the victims and sent them to Upazila Health Complex and Mymensingh Medical College.
