US President Donald Trump has arrived in Saudi Arabia on his first official overseas visit of his second term, where he was warmly received by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman at Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport.

Trump landed in Riyadh on Tuesday, marking the start of a three-day Middle East tour that will also take him to Qatar and the United Arab Emirates. The trip aims to attract major investment deals for the United States and strengthen diplomatic ties in the region.

Upon arrival, President Trump and Crown Prince Salman held a preliminary meeting at the airport, joined by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. A lavish state banquet has been organized in Riyadh in honor of the visiting president. US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth is also part of the delegation.

This is not the first time Trump has broken with tradition by selecting Saudi Arabia as his inaugural overseas destination. During his first term, he similarly chose the kingdom over the usual first stops such as the UK, Canada, or Mexico, signaling the strategic importance of US–Saudi relations.
