US President Donald Trump has dismissed Russian President Vladimir Putin’s offer to mediate in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran, urging him instead to resolve Russia’s own war in Ukraine first.
Speaking to reporters at the White House on Wednesday, Trump said, “He actually offered to help mediate. I said, ‘Do me a favor, mediate your own. Let’s mediate Russia first, okay?’”
The remarks come amid intensifying hostilities in the Middle East and continued global concern over the war in Ukraine.
