The Central Intelligence Cell (CIC) of the National Board of Revenue (NBR) has seized two lockers belonging to former prime minister Sheikh Hasina at Agrani Bank’s Dilkusha branch, following intelligence reports.

According to NBR sources, the lockers—numbered 751 and 753—were registered in the name of Sheikh Hasina at the bank’s main branch (formerly the local office branch).

Authorities said the lockers were sealed to investigate possible tax evasion.

This move comes just a week after the NBR seized another locker linked to Hasina at Pubali Bank’s Motijheel Corporate Branch on 10 September.

That locker, numbered 128, was located at Sena Kalyan Bhaban.

With the latest development, a total of three lockers belonging to the former prime minister have now been seized from Agrani and Pubali Banks.

NBR officials also confirmed that Sheikh Hasina maintained two accounts at Pubali Bank, one with a fixed deposit of Tk12 lakh and another with Tk44 lakh.

Both accounts have been frozen, and withdrawals have been prohibited.
