The UAE has expanded its on-arrival visa scheme for Indian expatriates, adding six new countries to the list—Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada.
The UAE has announced that Indian nationals residing in six additional countries—Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada—will now be eligible for an on-arrival visa. Previously, this facility was only available to Indian expatriates from the United States, 27 European Union countries, and the United Kingdom.
According to a statement issued by the UAE’s Identity and Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security Authority (ICP), Indian nationals from these six countries can now obtain an on-arrival visa at any UAE entry point by presenting their passport, resident permit, or green card.
Liberty News’ international correspondent states that the ICP emphasized that this decision is a gesture of respect for the long-standing relationship and bond between India and the UAE. The government hopes this initiative will ease travel for Indian expatriates interested in visiting, living, working, or investing in the UAE.
