Environment, Forest and Climate Change Adviser Syeda Rizwana Hasan said that the interim government did not assume responsibilities just to hold the polls.
“We have three major responsibilities- reform, justice, and elections. All three are heavy responsibilities. We did not assume responsibility just to hold polls,” she told the media after an event in Dhaka on Friday.
The next national election will be held between December 2025 and June 2026 and the Chief Adviser and his advisory council are working towards that goal, she said.
