The SPs (Superintendents of Police) of Jessore, Nilphamari, Cox’s Bazar, and Sunamganj districts have been withdrawn.
This information was provided in four separate notices issued by the Police Headquarters on Monday.
The notice stated that each district’s SPs would hand over their responsibilities to their respective senior officers and report to the Police Headquarters in Dhaka on Tuesday.
The four SPs are: Mohammad Rehmat Ullah of Cox’s Bazar, Md. Ziauddin Ahmed of Jessore, Mohammad Morshed Alam of Nilphamari, and AFM Anwar Hossain Khan of Sunamganj.
When asked about this, the AIG (Media) of the Police Headquarters, Enamuk Hossain Sagar, told Liberty News that SPs of the four withdrawn districts have been instructed to report to the Police Headquarters on Tuesday.
