Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus has extended heartfelt greetings to US President Donald Trump and the people of the United States on the occasion of their 249th Independence Day.
In a formal letter to President Trump, Yunus highlighted the strong partnership and shared democratic values between the two nations.
“Bangladesh and the United States are great partners. Our two countries share common aspirations among our people to uphold the principle of democracy and the values of freedom,” the letter stated.
Yunus emphasised the long-standing bilateral relationship, noting that cooperation between the countries has expanded over five decades in sectors including trade, energy, science, education, and climate action.
He further expressed hope for deeper collaboration in the future and wished President Trump and the American people continued peace, prosperity, and good health.
